Mercury Paint Codes Main Page
Mercury was created by Henry Ford's son in 1938 to compete with the brand line wars in the 1930's. Mercury was offered as an entry level vehicle (inexpensive vehicles) making the Ford brand the commercial and mid grade line, and Lincoln as the high end line. The first Mercury was shown in late 1938 at shows as the 1939 model. The last Mercury was made in January of 2011⇓. It is still an active trademark of The Ford Motor Company.
